“Farmer survives the industry survives”
Our mission to assist farmers in the areas such as
Market space – Creating linkage between the buyers and the producers, opening doors to new markets for shrimps from already existing saturated markets
Risk mitigation– Providing farmers forward integration with market assurance and also working on backward integration to assist farmers in getting the best inputs for their success.
Domestic promotion activities – With the most populous nation in the world and the growing economy, India has a good potential to establish a strong shrimp domestic market. With the population close to 1.4 billion and more than half of the population consuming non vegetarian food, including shrimps in their diet can bring self reliance to the Indian shrimp industry and safeguard our Indian shrimp farmers’ income and livelihood and reduce overdependence on export market.
Providing solutions - Integrating shrimp farmers with culture technology, financial sector, researchers, scientists, private and government organizations for maximum support and aid.
Shrimpco is a non-profit organization to support Indian shrimp farmers.
